SeaCross Software Engineer C++

The SeaCross navigation system is a modular, scalable and fully integrated system specifically designed to meet the requirements for High Speed operations in littoral, coastal and open waters. Born in Scandinavia, the SeaCross system was developed based on extensive operation of high-speed crafts in this exceptionally demanding navigational environment.

The SeaCross system is predominantly used by military special forces, police, fire fighters, customs and sea rescue organizations.

As an engineer on the SeaCross software team you will design, develop and test software used together with the SeaCross navigation system. You will be fully responsible for development lifecycle, from development to testing to final deployment in the field.

Basic qualifications:

●     Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math or science discipline and 2 years of experience in software development or 4+ years of experience in software development

●     2+ years of experience in C++

 

Preferred skills and experience:

●     Creative approach to problem solving

●     Self-driven with a strong sense of quality

●     Strong skills in debugging, performance optimization and unit testing

●     Knowledge of physics, math, and electronics

●     Experience designing fault tolerant software

●     Knowledge of computer architecture and networks

●     Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements

●     Ability to work independently and in a team, take initiative, and communicate effectively

 

It’s less important if you have a Computer Science degree or if you are self-taught. What matters is your engineering skills, experience, and your drive to constantly improve.
